Escher Cats! – Issue 13!

It’s the end of the Knight-sagas, at least in Catwoman’s title, and, since this isn’t my find the hidden cover cat feature, I can say – it’s time for the cover with the catfish! The somewhat perplexed looking catfish. Or astounded. I think they might be astounded. Catwoman does look pretty murderous for someone who very emphatically does not kill.

And has reasons for it too. As with a lot of things. Backstory, baby, backstory.

She also recommends leaving a fresh smelling corpse when you die.

The previous cover did get three squares marked off on the Escher Girls bingo but it was rather mild overall. This one, however, … I just really hope there are two identical Catwomen and one is the shoulders and the other is the torso. Because something is very very Not Right about how the two do/do not connect. Again, it’s for the sake of great character and story work with the art but ouch.

Seriously. The mismatch between her torso and shoulders is spine-shearingly terrifying.

This only has one box marked off, but just imagine it surrounded by bright lights and exclamation points.

Light issue for commentary this time (I really just wanted to talk about the fish. I found using a catfish as the hidden cover cat hilarious and the fish’s expression is great) so, as always, the Catwoman comics belong to DC, not me, and Escher Girls is the creation of the awesome Ami Angelwings. And the Escher Girls bingo card belongs to the Escher Girls fan who created it.
