In the competition of the claws, there can only be one winner! And two beautiful runners-up.
This cover really doesn’t have anything all that wrong with it. Also, it’s attached to a very Catwoman-y story. I tend to enjoy the Jo Duffy penned ones and this one gets into Catwoman’s brand of personal heroism and also how it’s received, by those saved and by those whose official function is supposed to be saving civilians.
I already kind of gave the run-down of this issue before the cut, but just know, even with a slightly wtf-y first page (although I can somewhat forgive the awkwardness – trying to draw Catwoman falling through space and from that angle had to have been a pain) it’s a really excellent issue and very in character for her. And telling ‘of’ her character.
All I’ve got is “boobsocks” and that’s just because of the perky and somewhat individually defined breasts. But I like this cover. It doesn’t have any pizzazz to it, but it’s nice and this is Balent still doing Catwoman well.
And that’s it for this time, folks. As always, the Catwoman comics belong to DC, not me, and Escher Girls is the creation of the awesome Ami Angelwings. And the Escher Girls bingo card belongs to the Escher Girls fan who created it.
