Escher Cats! – Catwoman #35!

There was too much Hellhound for just one month so have … an issue with barely any Hellhound! Plenty of exasperated Catwoman though.

Seriously. She goes above and beyond to protect him. Although he's also the one who knows what the traps are. But it's also true to her character to try to save every life it's in her power to save.

The only thing worse than endless death traps is trying to get through them alive while also trying to save the Order of Dumas member who pinched your butt in the previous issue.

This issue is actually pretty good, both story and anatomy/costume errors (of the Escher Girl kind at least – someone forgot what shoes Catwoman was wearing halfway through and I doubt she found a pair of boots in one of the death traps) wise, although not all of the dialogue and internal Catwoman monologue pop as much as they should. Plus, I lost count of how many times Catwoman said “bro” when talking to Umberto the butt-pinching Order of Dumas-ian.

And, hey! Cover actually mostly reflects the contents on this one. Killer bridge and killer pendulum blades of oversized death.

Again, the art isn’t bad though (occasionally sloppy and her shoes completely morph shape partway through) and neither is the cover. There just seems to be a bit of swivel waist going on for the sake of the dynamic posing.

Finally to the finale next time (which of course belongs to DC Comics, not me), and Escher Girls is the creation of the awesome Ami Angelwings. And the Escher Girls bingo card belongs to the Escher Girls fan who created it.
