Escher Cats! – Catwoman #29!

This is a continuation of the previous issue and once again the story quality (and quality of the interior art for the story) do not match the quality of the cover.

And I can't tell if Catwoman has her mouth twisted in concentration from cutting through the vault door or if it's twisted because she's in close proximity to Slyfox.

Derive from that what you will. Although other than the obvious anatomy whoops, my big thing with this cover is that it’s just not that interesting, especially knowing what Balent is capable of. Although Slyfox’s expression is pretty priceless (as is the fact that he has the biggest money eyes out of the four of them).

I admittedly enjoy the fashion spread that opens this issue (plus the friendly dynamic Catwoman and Mouse have as they work together to prep for the heist). And Mouse posing as Catwoman’s very tiny, grieving widow of a sister so they can bug the bank vault area. And the fact that Catwoman and Giz get into an argument over their respective favourite animals. While robbing the bank.

Catwoman and Mouse and Catwoman and Giz actually have really nice dynamics and cooperative. Plus other combinations of that 3/4 of the team (I'd add Goober into the calculation but he's much more specialized and works with Giz).

And he’s not lying about Goober being an active, contributing member of the team either. Also – I actually kind of love this team, especially when they do the wise thing and send Slyfox off to draw attention to himself instead of getting in their ways (and trying to hit on Catwoman).

It isn't as clear here, but Mouse really is quite a bit smaller than Catwoman.

And backing up in the issue, the aforementioned fashion spread.

And now for the bingo square:

I do like that Mouse is resting her (itty bitty) hand on Catwoman's shoulder though. I'd like more Mouse Catwoman interactions.

There is only one box marked but just imagine it marked very very emphatically.

Second to last issue before another event/crossover, so, as always, the Catwoman comics belong to DC Comics, not me, and Escher Girls is the creation of the awesome Ami Angelwings. And the Escher Girls bingo card belongs to the Escher Girls fan who created it.
