Escher Cats! – Catwoman #26!

l … am not quite sure what to say about this one, other than “There was a part one??” and “Wow, that’s a lot of people in cat costumes.” Also Catwoman spends the issue trying to steal a magical cat costume back from a hilariously over the top (thank you for his facial expressions, Jim Balent, thank you) cat-themed villain who stole it from a South Seas cat cult. Seriously. That’s the issue. Also, Catwoman tries to imitate Supergirl at one point.

I'm going to blame high stress levels for how much I'm giggling at this issue.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s … Catwoman! Also, apparently the secret of the universe is rats.

As for the actual cover – I’m not sure this was what Batman was expecting from a crossover. And, well, hard to have anatomy issues when most of it is covered in rats.

Something might be up with her neck but I'll let her and Batman contort a little in their attempts to shake the rats off.

Seriously. The cover has its own particular flavour that I think is helping guide Balent’s art, but also Catwoman’s just plain too covered in rats to have any problems with how she’s drawn.

So, no score card this time and, as always, the Catwoman comics belong to DC Comics, not me, and Escher Girls is the creation of the awesome Ami Angelwings. And the Escher Girls bingo card belongs to the Escher Girls fan who created it. Also, based on the name, this story was apparently written by that one dude from Jurassic Park.
