Escher Cats! – Catwoman #18!

I don’t think any description could be better than the cover to the final installment of Catfiles.

Well, unless it's ...

Well, unless it’s …

As evidenced by the cover, she is not going to go peacefully, even if she plays along at first for safety and time to plan. Which is also how she's been handling the secret government non-org.

…. the opening page. Seriously. When the art and lettering team on this book has it together, they really have it together. Also, Catwoman is more horrified at being married to mister pompous half-masked prince than of being captured and killed or captured and tortured.

So explosions. Much weaponry.

I really really like this cover. I honestly do. But there is a vague slight something going on, even if it’s only slight (plus the paint the clothe over the linework art style makes it a bit harder to pull off Catwoman’s elaborate wedding gown over her costume look). I went with agony of the feet just because her attitude-filled stanced is perhaps pushed a bit more than is physically wise and her leg might be getting a bit spindly at the end there. But this cover is still very much Balent at his best and also really very 90s.

And that’s all but one of the Catfiles done. so, as always, the Catwoman comics belong to DC, not me, and Escher Girls is the creation of the awesome Ami Angelwings. And the Escher Girls bingo card belongs to the Escher Girls fan who created it.
